STAR WARS: BOUNTY HUNTERS #2

IT’S been a big week for Star Wars fans, with some exciting movie news revealed.

With the success of The Mandalorian, interest in Star Wars’ bounty hunters has never been so great.

Fans can follow more of their adventures in this comic series, which sees cyborg bounty hunter Valance hunting his old mentor, Nakano Lash, who betrayed him years earlier – but he’s not the only one eager to snuff out the traitorous Lash.

Look out for some stunning variant covers.

Written by Ethan Sacks, with gorgeous artwork by Paolo Villanelli, Star Wars: Bounty Hunters #2 is priced £3.65.

MAY THE THOR BE WITH YOU

TAIKA WAITITI, inset – The director of Thor: Ragnarok who also scooped an Oscar in February for Jojo Rabbit – has revealed he is co-writing and directing a new Star Wars movie.

Waititi is no stranger to the Star Wars universe having directed the season finale of The Mandalorian, and is in demand at the moment, with his name being linked to everything from the Flash Gordon remake, to the next Deadpool movie.

After The Rise of Skywalker, the lacklustre final chapter of the Star Wars saga, I can say only this – ‘Help us Taika Waititi. You’re our only hope’.

THE BATMAN TEASER

FILMING of The Batman may have been hit by Covid-19, but that hasn’t stopped one star providing teasers.

Andy Serkis, right – Alfred Pennyworth in the film, which sees Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, shared two titbits with Ladbible.

One seemed to confirm comments by fellow Batman cast member Colin Farrell, that the story will be much darker than previous films, and secondly that the film will explore the emotional connection between Alfred, and his charge – Bruce Wayne.

There’s no word yet on when filming, much of which has been taking place in the UK, will restart.
