US justice is the only option for British ISIS duo

-

TWO of the British ISIS terrorists dubbed the ‘Beatles’ have admitted they lied and that they did play a part in the capture of American aid worker Kayla Mueller.

Previously Alexanda Kotey and El Shafee Elsheikh denied ever meeting the aid worker claiming “We didn’t meet any foreign non-muslims”.

But the pair have now confessed they were involved in detaining Mueller who was tortured and sexually abused before her death in 2015.

In new interviews, both Kotey and Elsheikh admitted beating captives and playing a role in facilitating communication with their families to extract ransoms.

The pair, facing possible trial in the US, have now recanted previous denials admitting they were involved in her capture.

In response, Kayla’s mother, Marsha Mueller, said: “They did so much horror to so many people. They need to be brought here. They need to be prosecuted.

“The other thing that’s really important to me about this is I need information about Kayla.

“We know so little about what happened to her.”

In March, the High Court ruled the Government must withhold crucial evidence from the US for their trial because the Trump administration has not provided assurances that the men will not be executed.

The ruling is entirely correct, but for justice to be served Kotey and Elsheikh should be tried in the States.

If found guilty of the heinous acts they are accused of, soft British justice would see them one day back on the streets.

America would ensure such men would never taste freedom again – a far less punishment than was inflicted on that poor girl.
