Fans hope their favourite finally gets to flourish
COVENTRY City fans have been reacting to the news that Jodi Jones is leaving the club this summer after six largely injuryplayed years.
But the 24-year-old captured the hearts of Sky Blues fans, first with his eye-catching performances and then with the way he tackled his painful journey back from three cruciate knee ruptures that stopped his hugely promising career in its tracks.
That love from the supporters was reciprocated by the player who drew strength during the dark days of his rehabilitation from their affection and will for him to return to his best.
He was handed another season to get himself going when finally clear of his last knee injury and made an impact during a handful of cameo displays from the bench but limited game time, not helped by niggling injuries and Covid, meant manager Mark Robins made what must have been a very difficult decision to let him go rather than trigger another season at the CBS Arena.

Mike Seaton: Tough, but possibly necessary decision on Jones. Let’s hope he can find fitness and a club where he can reach his full potential. League 1 clubs should be seriously looking at him. Thanks for everything JJ.
