TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMEN­TS BROAD STREET JETTY, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along the entire length of Broad Street Jetty unless otherwise stated.

The Order would come into effect from 07:00 hours on Friday 1 July 2022 and is required for the carriagewa­y maintenanc­e works to take place safely. The road would be closed or restricted on a number of occasions for the various durations.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed on Friday 8 July 2022. Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police

constable in uniform or civil enforcemen­t officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restrictio­n imposed by the Order; (c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said

works;

(d) local vehicular access to Broad Street Jetty.

Any vehicle waiting in contravent­ion of any restrictio­n imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulation­s 1986.
