TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMEN­TS BROAD LANE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Broad Lane in both directions between its junctions with Astoria Drive to its junction with Banner Lane.

The Order will come into effect from 07.00 hours on Monday 5th June 2023 and is required for sewer installati­on works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Sunday 3rd September 2023 The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police

constable in uniform or civil enforcemen­t officer in uniform; (b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restrictio­n imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the

said works

(d) local vehicular access to Broad Lane.

Any vehicle waiting in contravent­ion of any restrictio­n imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulation­s 1986.
