Balaclava gang attack two men in Cov home

TWO men were taken to hospital after they were attacked by a group of balaclava-clad thugs in Coventry. It happened on Minster Road in Spon End.

Officers were called to an address on the residentia­l street in the early hours of Wednesday, May 31. A group of men wearing balaclavas were seen entering a property.

While inside the property, the masked gang attacked two men, leaving them with serious leg injuries. Paramedics were called to the scene and the pair were taken to hospital.

A full investigat­ion has now been launched by West Midlands Police. Any witnesses have been urged to contact the force via Live Chat.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “We were called to an address in Minster Road, Coventry on

Wednesday, May 31, after two people were assaulted. A group of men wearing balaclavas were seen entering the house.

“There they attacked two men, leaving them with leg injuries which are not thought to be life-changing. Both injured men were taken to hospital and investigat­ions are now underway.

“We are now investigat­ing and are appealing for anyone who might have seen what happened to get in touch via Live Chat quoting log 94 of May 31.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “A passing ambulance crew came across an incident on Minster Road in Coventry at around 12.30am. A second ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Air Ambulance Critical Care Car were also sent to the scene. Two men were treated by ambulance staff for serious injuries and taken on blue lights to hospital for further treatment.”
