Restaurant makes comeback after shock closure last year

AN AWARD-WINNING Coventry restaurant has revealed it is making a comeback - but with a difference.

Customers were left shocked when The Loft, located at Rialto Plaza in Coundon, announced its closure last year.

It was hugely popular, had an enviable reputation among customers and was named ‘Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year’ in the Coventry and Warwickshire Foodie Awards.

So its decision to close, citing rocketing bills and issues created by people ‘leaving the industry,’ left the city stunned. But, in a social media post, The Loft has announced its comeback - with a new focus - breakfast and Sunday lunches. “We are so excited to announce that the rumours are true, The Loft is back from Thursday 22nd June,” the post on its page on Facebook read.

“We will be launching a brand new breakfast and brunch menu, with a Sunday lunch menu to follow shortly after. You will be able to make a reservation online just like before but we will also be welcoming walk-in customers and this time we will be launching a takeaway and delivery menu so that you can order delicious breakfast, brunch and Sunday lunch to your home or workplace too.”

It will also continue to be available for private hire and it has promised customers a blast from the past: “We will also be throwing in the odd pop up dining event to stay true to our original roots,” the post added.

“In our first year, we achieved some amazing things and we were overjoyed to be crowned ‘Fine dining restaurant of the year 2022’ at Foodie Awards! This time round we are on a mission to create the best breakfast and Sunday lunch in the city! We can’t wait to welcome you all back to The Loft. Stay tuned for more updates.”
