Moore joy as Kim signs up for third year
NEW Genting Casino Coventry Blaze coach Kevin Moore hailed securing the signature of Swedish forward Kim Tallberg for a third Elite League season in 2024/25.
Tallberg, 32, registered 43 points (15 goals, 28 assists) over 67 Elite League competition games last season, averaging near 21 minutes per-game.
In his debut season, the popular Swede led Blaze’s goalscoring charts with 31 in 66 Elite League competition game, and he added 28 assists for a return of 59 points.
At the end of season awards, Tallberg scooped the club’s Coach’s, Players’, and Supporters’ Player of the Year in recognition of his excellent 2022/23 campaign.
Tallberg has been productive throughout his career having registered 48 goals and 45 assists for 93 points in 272 Swedish Allsvenskan regular season and play-off games prior to his move to Coventry.
He also played 272 games in Hockeyettan during which he amassed 84 goals and 84 assists for 168 points with Nynäshamns, Kumla, Borås, Halmstad and Nybro.
Moore said: “Kim is such a fantastic human being whose habits and professionalism are an asset to our locker room.
“He has a nose for the net that is proven in our league and I look forward to working with him this season.”
