- COLIN BELL’S

Welcome back my fellow adventurers to this our fourth outing along the Adventure Trail. Colin Bell once more at your service, CRASH Dungeon Master and your guide to the world of high ‘8-bit‘ adventure. With summertime well and truly upon us there’s no shortage of exciting new adventure content being released or indeed on the horizon. And with more and more of you fantastic readers signing up to CRASH each and every day I’m busy working hard down here in my Dungeon under CRASH Towers, striving to bring you the latest and greatest in ZX Spectrum adventuring.

I hope you all enjoyed last month’s fantastic and insightful interview with French adventure author Davide Bucci, it was a great pleasure chatting with him and I’ll be looking to bring you more interviews in future issues. For this month’s trail however I’m excited to bring you my review of Davide’s latest text adventure, Silk Dust.

And with my new scrolls delivered and my Ravens safely tucked up in their nests perched high above CRASH Towers I must first deliver news of the sad loss of a text adventuring great, John Wilson aka ‘The Rochdale Balrog’ of Zenobi Software fame. Then we’ll ramp things up a bit as we look at another exciting ZX NEXT adventure announcement from Stand Games and rejoice at the long-awaited release of Stefan Vogt’s new text adventure masterpiece, Hibernated 1 – The Directors Cut.

So onward dear adventurers! Let us travel together along this month’s trail!
