A fab first time finish
Here’s a picture of the gardening pups from issue 244, which I’ve just finished. I loved every minute of stitching this cute design. I made a couple of mistakes along the way, but apart from one I can’t see any of them anymore! I did have a few issues with the French knots, as I’ve never done them before, but I think I managed in the end. All that I have to do now is iron out the hoop creases and do the framing, which I’m going to be doing very carefully – I don’t want to ruin it after all the work I’ve put into it! I really enjoyed stitching this piece and wish that I had taken up stitching sooner. But, better late than never! I’ve also made a start on the orangutan from the same issue as a present for my mum, as she loves orangutans. Thanks for your lovely magazine. Alison says: It’s amazing to see your progress on your stitchy journey, Beverley. You’ve stitched these pups beautifully. I hope you’ll continue to share your finishes with us as you go!
