Heirloom stitches

Cross Stitch Crazy - - Yourletters -

I thought I would share with you the Christmas ornaments I made for each of my grandchildren in 2017. Every year, I stitch an ornament for each of them in the hope that one day, when they have homes of their own, they will always treasure and hang these ornaments on their trees in memory of their nanna. Many years ago on a cross stitch forum I read about ladies who stitched ornaments for their grandchildren and thought this was a great idea, so I started doing the same. I found these reindeer in one of your magazines and made them my project for Christmas 2017. As I write this, I’m preparing their ornaments for Christmas 2018! Alison says: What a brilliant tradition to have started, Delene – your grandchildren are very lucky to have such a talented grandmother. I love the idea of them having a little set of ornaments ready for when they start decorating their own trees! I also love how you’ve made these up – they look fab.
