New Zealand-based cruise line Heritage Expedition­s is marking the reopening of the country’s borders with the addition of three new voyages visiting scenic and remote spots around its islands.

Highlights include the bubbling mud pools of Rotorua (right), Milford and Doubtful Sounds, Abel Tasman National Park, and the wildlife- rich Stewart and Ulva islands where visitors can spot kiwi, rare Hector’s dolphins, native fur seals and penguins.

Prices for the voyages start at $4,495 per person cruise-only, including a $500 flight credit (heritageex­peditions.com).
