VIVA ONE’S VOYAGE
German cruise line Viva Cruises has launched its first new-build ship, Viva One.
The vessel (below) was christened in April in its home port of Dusseldorf, where the company is based, and is due to operate five and seven- night all-inclusive voyages along the Rhine and Moselle in 2022 and 2023.
The ship holds 176 guests in 88 cabins and suites, has two restaurants, a sun deck and spa, plus hybrid technology and solar cells to reduce energy consumption.
Andrea Kruse, chief operating officer, said: “After lots of hard work and a couple of uncertain years, we are thrilled to have launched our first-ever new-build ship. Viva One has been carefully designed using Viva Cruises’ ethos and environmentally friendly technology.
“We are truly looking forward to welcoming British people on our new ship – they will have a whole new river cruise experience like never before.” (viva-cruises.com)
