Surgery in search for trainee administra­tor

A CUMNOCK surgery is on the lookout for a new member of staff to join the team.

Tanyard Muirkirk Medical Group (TMMG) is on the search for a trainee IT administra­tor/ medical receptioni­st.

The role is aimed at anyone between the ages of 17-19 who has just left school or is looking for a career change.

The successful candidate will receive full on-the-job training along with SVQ training from Quality Assurance to ensure you receive a an SQCF level 6 Diploma in digital applicatio­ns support.

It will be a full-time, 37-hour per week role for 12 months, involving general admin duties which will include dealing with patient enquiries, as well as managing patient appointmen­ts and medical records.

A job posting on the TMMG Facebook page adds: “We also have NHS supported training courses to help with your personal developmen­t.

“Qualities we are looking for would be excellent time-keeping, communicat­ion and written skills.

“This is a fast-paced job and requires a person who can work on their own initiative as well as being part of a team.

“Experience or an interest in IT systems would be advantageo­us and this post will be on-the-job training.

“There may be an opportunit­y for a permanent contact on the successful completion of the apprentice­ship.”
