Peculier Old 200, Darlington, October 29
A new addition to the Audax calendar, but a ride that dates back decades. It is a resurrection of an old 150mile route that local north-east clubs used to ride in the autumn for one final long ride of the season. The revised 200km route goes across the Pennines to Middleton-in-teesdale, down to Richmond and then returns to the start point of Darlington via a pub stop in Masham — just like they did back in the ’60s. £5 entry.
