Welland Wonder, Leicesters­hire, September 23

A 160km ride through the quiet and picturesqu­e lanes of Northampto­nshire, Leicesters­hire and Rutland. There are no huge climbs, but overall elevation totals almost 1,900m. The Lewis Balyckyi Memorial Ride, Preston, October 1

Run in memory of Lewis Balyckyi, a highly rated Olympic Talent Team rider who died aged 18 in 2011 when he was involved in a collision with a van while out training. All monies raised go towards the fund set up in his name, which helps young riders race abroad. There are 100km, 72km and 32km distances. The longest heads out to the beautiful, hilly Ribble Valley. Three Peaks Cyclo-cross, Helwith Bridge, September 24

The most hotly contested cyclo-cross race in the UK, the Three Peaks is a race that is as much fun to watch as it is to compete in. Over 38 miles — 20 of which are off-road — riders climb over 5,000ft. Paul Oldham has won the last two editions. Racing starts at 9.30am. www.3peakscycl­ocross.org.uk

Rouleur Classic tickets, London, Nov 2-4

The annual cycling exhibition is themed around the sport’s five Monuments this year and returns with another A-list line-up giving speeches and answering questions, including Johan Museeuw, Fabian Cancellara, Alberto Contador and Adam Hansen.
