Lusso Nitelife £24.99

-

British brand Lusso has been making cycling apparel in Manchester since 1982.

The Nitelife knee-warmers are made from a Roubaix Lycra that’s nice and thick with a fleecy thermal lining — both comfortable and good at keeping your legs warm when the temperature starts to drop.

The Nitelifes are quite long, as are many kneewarmers this season: the top comes high up the leg and the bottom finishes mid calf — which is good for colder days but blurs the distinction with full-length leg-warmers.

The grippers at the tops of the Nitelifes prevent them from slipping down, which can be a problem with both knee and leg-warmers, while the stretch cuff doesn’t ride up, even after multiple hours in the saddle.

The cuff is reflective for 360° visibility at night — hence the Nitelife denomination — which is an excellent idea.

To sum up, the Lusso Nitelifes are very comfortable, well made — in Britain too — and well priced. It’s worth noting that they’re not waterproof, however.
