How he did it

-

 Keeping it local: living in Shoreditch, Hall covered many of his kilometres around Regent’s Park or, for variety, headed back to the site of a previous challenge, Richmond Park.  Moral support: a high point of the challenge for Hall came when his friends surprised him on his morning ride — 40 cyclists turned up at 5.30am to accompany him.  Going the extra miles: some days, Hall got lost and rode an extra 30km or so just because he was too stubborn to get a taxi home.  Lucky escapes: Hall suffered two accidents over 107 days. He was clipped by a wing mirror, bruising his shoulder, and he was clipped again while riding in a group in Epping Forest — thankfully no one was seriously hurt.
