NGC BME Echelon Three-time national road series champion and former national circuit race champion Nikki Juniper launched this new team following the closure of former team Fordecoboo­st, after just one year. The team has also stepped up to promoting a road race this year. Riders include Jo Tindley, Gabby Shaw, Kelly Murphy, Emma Coldwell, Maddie Gammons, Adele Martin, Jenny Rutter, Anna Weaver.

Admiral-liv-awol Now in its second year, the Londonbase­d team will expand to provide under-23 and youth developmen­t squads. Road captain is former Matrix Pro Cycling team rider Isla Rush, and former Ford Ecoboost rider Charlotte Broughton has also joined. Recruitmen­t of Admiral Insurance as a sponsor is a major achievemen­t; Liv and AWOL London continue their support.

BOOMPODS-EDCO-NRG New sponsor Boompods stepped in this year to support the team that began 2017 as Driverplan-edco Continenta­l Racing. Target events will be the women’s National Road Series, Women’s Team Series and Tour Series. The squad has retained five senior riders plus three juniors, adding a further eight to the roster.

Bianchi Dama UK Going into its second year, Bianchi Dama UK has retained six riders, and recruited two more. Becky Womersley comes from Drops Cycling, where she rode at UCI level, and 19-year old Bethany Taylor comes from Vertex-biemme. One rider from the squad has been lost — Charlotte Colclough, who has been forced to take time off due to a medical condition.
