This time, with­out their star men, who are in­stead at the Vuelta a Es­paña, a top three might be a stretch too far but they’ll still be mak­ing their mark on the race.

Ste­fan Kûng fin­ished third in 2017 and will be their pro­tected rider, as well as cap­tain in the team time trial, a dis­ci­pline that they are two-time world cham­pi­ons in and re­cent win­ners of the Tour de France stage. Jempy Drucker will threaten in the sprint stages.

n CW says The TTT on stage five will have dom­i­nated the pre-race talk in team meet­ings, and they will be ex­pect­ing to win. n Key rider Ste­fan Kûng The Swiss rider might be un­able to repli­cate last year’s fin­ish, but he will be ac­tively in­volved.
