One of the least ex­pe­ri­enced and youngest group of rid­ers in the Tour of Bri­tain, Tim Elver­son’s men will have one ob­jec­tive: to su­per­sede ex­pec­ta­tions. Break­aways and in­ter­me­di­ate clas­si­fi­ca­tions will be their tar­get, but then that’s all they aimed for at the Tour de York­shire and they won a stage thanks to Harry Tan­field. Since then the Com­mon­wealth Games time trial sil­ver medal­list has fin­ished se­cond in two UCI races in Hol­land, while Max St­ed­man, in GB colours, re­cently fin­ished third on stage one of the Tour Al­sace, on his way to a cred­itable 12th over­all.
