The Aus­tralian team tri­umphed in three stages last year, all thanks to their pocket rocket, Caleb Ewan. Though the diminu­tive sprinter is head­ing to Lotto-soudal in the off-sea­son and their sprint­ing team’s form has been cir­cum­spect this sea­son, the 24-year-old has the pace and pedi­gree to win mul­ti­ple stages once again.

Ewan will have the sup­port of Roger Kluge, who is also ex­pected to move to Lotto-soudal. To­gether, the pair worked as po­tently as some of the sport’s finest sprint­ing tan­dem part­ners last year, and with their Tour de France non­s­e­lec­tion still fresh in the mind, they’ll be deter­mined to prove that their bosses shouldn’t have over­looked them.
