The One Premium

-

French manufacturer Bollé is probably best known for its stylish ski glasses and goggles. More recently it has branched out into ski and cycle helmets, with its The One Premium model attracting a lot of attention for its innovative design — which isn’t immediately obvious.

The One is so called because it is one helmet intended to rule all cycling disciplines in all seasons of the year.

You’ve got the aero road guise, pictured, but remove the aero shells and you uncover 31 vents for climbing big mountains in the summer.

Purist roadies won’t approve, but it comes with a removable visor that helps it fit in off-road.

For commuting there’s an especially designed, removable LED that fits into the rear of the helmet that Bollé sells separately. Bollé also says the two holes at the front are a ‘Sunglasses Garage’.

And finally it comes with a winter lining to cover the ears as well as the standard summer pads, both Velcroing to the same points.

But is it a jack of all trades and master of none? Keep an eye on www. cyclingweekly.com to find out. n Price £119 Contact www.bolle.com Review September
