Dhb aeron FLT Roubaix £85

Cycling Weekly - - TECH GROUPTEST -

Plentiful reflective detailing is paired with the highly regarded Roubaix fabric from Italian brand Miti for the Aerons. Up top is a high-backed brace system. The centre of the back is a breathable mesh, which is flanked by fleece-backed straps designed to offer further warmth.

The Elastic Interface pad uses two foam densities and is aimed at six hours in the saddle. The FLT (Flash Light Technology) entails a subtle insert on each thigh, along with lower leg reflective detail, and a small reflective logo at the rear.

While the legs were long and well-fitting, the bibs felt tight and the result was a gap between chamois and groin when out of the saddle. However, fit of tights is a real personal thing: the dhbs might fit the next rider perfectly. At £85 they are also a lot cheaper than others, and for this they do offer just as much in terms of features as the Sportfuls. So they’re well worth a try before you cut the swing tags off, but we would pay the extra to get properly fitting tights.
