Racing against a field consisting almost entirely of Slovaks, Belgian Seppe Rombouts (Creafin-tuvsud) denied home riders the victory, winning by seven seconds from Ondrej Glajza. It was the 20-year-old’s first win of the season. Czech Jana Czeczinkar­ová won the women’s category. World Cup Koksijde (November 25) Dutchman Mathieu van der Poel (Correndon-circus) continued his dominance of the men’s elite rankings, winning with a clear 25-second over second place Wout van Aert. Van der Poel has won 13 of the 15 races that he has contested this cross season.
