PONGO SOCKS

-

If you’ve never heard of #sockdoping, we recommend first of all familiarising yourself with the rules of sock height via Pongo London’s authoritatively written blog posts. Since the brand has a design to match every club kit, bicycle paintjob or aura, the next part is obviously to ask your significant other for a pair or two for Christmas. Incidentally there are no repeating reindeer, snowmen or Santa patterns otherwise we’d be featuring them here.

Back to sock height. Pongo has devised five sock height zones. Zone three is the Pro Zone you should be aiming at, which is about one inch below the calf muscle or a total of five to six inches for most riders. Below this sits zone two (tennis player) and zone one (triathlete). Above are zone four (footballer) and zone five (leg-warmers).

According to Pongo, perfecting the positioning of your socks is like getting dialled into your bike. Once done, it just works.

The socks themselves are of superior quality and Italian made.

Price £15-£17.50
