ADAM YATES
It was more a case of what could have been for Adam Yates. He showed great promise with a duo of stage wins at Tirrenoadriatico and the Critérium du Dauphiné as well as top five GC finishes in every stage race he completed up until the Tour de France. Alas, the Tour didn’t go to plan with a 29th overall finish, and returning to guide his brother to a first Grand Tour at the Vuelta must have been sweet and sour in equal measure; he won’t want to be lingering behind Simon for long.
