Ben Tulett’s first year in the junior ranks marked him out as one of the most exciting young prospects since, well, Tom Pidcock. Tulett has had a fine year

on the road, winning the Junior Tour of Wales overall the day after his 17th birthday and taking gold in the Junior National road race.

But it was his cyclo-cross campaign that impressed the most as he followed his National Junior Champs silver with the ultimate crown — gold in the Junior Cyclo-cross World Championships.
