FAT TYRES OR THIN?

With the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020 looming surprisingly near on the horizon, Richards finds herself in the jaws of an unusual conundrum: cyclo-cross or mountain bike? Not an uncommon choice per se, but for Richards who has Tokyo ambitions, it means balancing a lottery-funded Olympic sport (mtb) with one that could offer a potential career, but along a very different path (CX). At the moment she is performing at the highest levels across both disciplines; as 2020 draws closer, she may find that harder to do.
