Who do you think will win the Tour de France?
■ A course designed to aid Alaphillipe by the organisers (French desperate for a French winner), but Roglič is looking very good and will be favourite. Bernal will be in the running, as will Pinot. Gordon William Allen
■ Barring accidents, I just can’t see Roglič being beaten in the Tour. Neil Clarke
■ Adam Yates, coming in under the radar? Martin Deaves
■ Dumoulin, so many teams desperate for stage wins it’ll be about who can keep up on the flat as well as on climbs. Adam Yates KOM. Sky [sic] will implode from a lack of experienced leadership. Movistar for team. James Joseph Harris
■ Carapaz for me, I think Lotto will fade away in final week. Thomasdavison
■ Got a good feeling about Thibaut Pinot. Shannon Burton
■ I’d love to see Pinot do it, but he just doesn’t have the team behind him. That said, if he gets in to yellow in the final week I suspect two or three other teams would suddenly alter their tactics so they mysteriously fall in to line with FDJ’S. Roger Wilson
■ Bernal won’t win the Tour, he didn’t look in great shape at the Dauphiné. His win last year, whilst impressive, was seriously helped by a stroke of luck – he probably wouldn’t have won it without that luck. There were stronger riders who would have shut him down and won it. LC Harding
■ Seems hard for anyone to defend their first Tour win these days. But Ineos will be strong, so I’m going for Carapaz. James Fleetling-jones
■ Hard to see past Roglič. Not just because of his results, but the way the whole team is riding. When others have said they can’t compete, Jumbo knuckled down, came up with a plan and stuck to it. Jesper Andersen
■ I was convinced that Buchmann would sneak in and win it this year. Until the Dauphiné. #sadface Pam Durnham
■ Alejandro Valverde! Giving hope to all us approaching our 40s. Jon Bentley
■ I know it’s been a year for the kids so far, but I think an older rider will win. Someone with lots of Grand Tours in their legs. That will make up for the lack of racing this year. Katy Harris
