ACTS OF CYCLING STUPIDITY

-

Intelligence reaches us of the tech writer of a well-known, much loved and 130-year-old cycling publication. Not long ago, he set out on an e-bike he was testing to ride over the North Downs to collect something from a colleague.

He was much enjoying the assisted ride, breezing along like his younger self. Until just a couple of miles in, the battery ran out.

I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking, “I bet he finished the trip, appreciating the extra training benefit of lugging the heavy bike along.”

Well, I thought that too, but we’re both wrong. He freewheeled home and got his car.
