For my money there are few brands that can touch 33Fuel when it comes to either taste or ingredients. It’s all natural – I mean, what isn’t these days? – but it also tastes like it. It tastes real and not sickly sweet as many protein shakes do. The protein is derived from pea, rice and sunflower, so 33Fuel is vegan-friendly, but more importantly it’s one of relatively few recovery shakes that doesn’t completely eschew sugar (unrefined of course). As a result, each 38g serve delivers 20g protein and 15g carbs, and I find that mix helps me immensely after a hard ride.
