Vitus’s latest is an updated version of the iconic ZX-1 aero road bike. The ZX-1 EVO is lighter, sturdier and more aerodynamic than the bike that came before it. It has much in common with the Vitesse EVO, incorporating the geometry and handling of the lightweight racer to boost performance. Vitus’s own aerodynamic tests showed up to 45% less drag than the previous ZX-1 when built as a full bike. For a top tier bike, the ZX-1 EVO represents solid value for money. There are six bikes across the range, starting with the base Shimano 105 model at £1,999.99 and going up to the Red AXS at £4,799.99. What’s more, every model has full cable and hydraulic hose integration and carbon aero bars as standard.
