…the patron of the women’s peloton

‘One of my teammates, Audrey Cordon-ragot, is the mum of the peloton. You will hear her in every language that she speaks bossing people around, mainly to keep things safe. If someone does something stupid she will let them know and remind them not to do it again. She’s lovely but you’ll hear her wherever you are in the peloton.’

…going to her first training camp with Trek-segafredo at 17

‘Meeting Lizzie Deignan, Ellen van Dijk, Elisa Longo Borghini and then the men’s team with Vincenzo Nibali and Mads Pedersen was truly incredible. These people were my idols and now they are teammates, and switching from fan to teammate was actually quite a challenge because I was star-struck. Any 17-year-old would be.’

…moving from Wales to Belgium

‘I moved to Belgium in February 2020 to live with my fiancé. My Flemish is terrible but I am trying to learn on Dualingo. I miss my family most, especially my dogs! I also miss the community spirit of Wales, knowing everyone on your street. The best thing about Belgium is having the cobbles on my doorstep and the weather, which is a bit better than Wales. But only just.’
