To download this route go to cyclist.co.uk/ 126france or scan the QR code. Starting in Larrau, take the D19 west to the start of the Col de Bagargui after 3km. Be careful of the unsighted junction at the bottom of the descent after 18km. Go left, south, on the D18 for 500m then fork right onto a tiny road, the D301. Two more short climbs follow over the Col de Sourzay, then the first big descent, at the bottom of which is a sharp hairpin left onto the D428 that is very easy to miss. When you start descending from the second big climb over the Col d’arnostéguy, look out for the sharp left at 56.5km onto the D128. At 68km you turn left across a gorge and into Spain at Arnéguy, and head south again on the N-135 over Ibañeta. At 92km turn left onto the NA-140 and follow it for 42km over Alta Abaurrea, then continue straight to start the Port de Larrau, which will take you back to Larrau.
