All set for long trip up north

PONTYPRIDD RFC is gearing up for a mass exodus to North Wales on the first weekend of the New Year.

Ponty play RGC1404 at Parc Eirias, Colwyn Bay, in a crunch Premiershi­p tie on Saturday.

The Supporters’ Club will be running a convoy of coaches up north, with many other fans making their own way in tandem.

The details of the North Wales trip are as follows:

Friday, January 6

Two coaches will depart Sardis Road at 9am. The clubhouse will be open from 8am to serve refreshmen­ts.

Saturday, January 7

Two coaches will depart Sardis Road at 6am, travelling north via Shrewsbury for a further pick of passengers.

The clubhouse will be open from 5am to serve refreshmen­ts.

All four coach parties to meet up in Colwyn Bay around lunch time in preparatio­n for the match which kicks off at 2.30pm.

The overnight stay trips will be based at the Celtic Royal Hotel in Caernarfon. Dinner on both Friday and Saturday nights will be served at 7pm.

Sunday, January 8

Four coaches will depart Caernarfon between 10am and 10.30am.

Car parking

Anyone requiring to leave cars parked at the club over the weekend – please use the car parking area to the rear of the clubhouse.
