Report praises council
THE management and financial resilience of RCT council has been praised in a new report by the Wales Audit Office.
The positive feedback was given in a series of major reports, called the Good Governance When Determining Significant Services Changes, the 2016/17 Annual Improvement report, Report on the Council’s arrangements for managing improvement and the Report on the Financial Resilience of the Council.
It comes after the council reduced senior management costs by over £2m, and the local authority’s “governance arrangements” have been endorsed.
Council leader Andrew Morgan welcomed the news as “an independent recognition of the council’s strong foundations”.
