Pentyrch were dismissed on 165 thanks to the efforts of Matt Williams (3-28).

Dominic Grossett (32), Lewis Coates (31) and Jack Lewis (30) led the scoring.

Brecon looked to Keiron Marmian in the chase as his unbeaten 69 inspired them to victory on 166-4.

Blackwood Town took over at the top of Division Two following an eight-wicket triumph over lowly Rogerstone Welfare at Highfields.

Olly Robson claimed 46 as Rogerstone reached 201 before they were bowled out.

The partnershi­p of openers Gareth Berry (97) and Andi Price (82) led Blackwood to victory on 202-3 in 31.3 overs.

Monmouth’s 75-run defeat to Radyr then allowed Blackwood to move to the summit.

Radyr racked up the runs thanks to Rhys Lloyd (37), Rhodri Lewis (33) and Chris Peacock (32) as they completed their allocation of 50 overs on 192-9.

Monmouth knew they were more than capable of surpassing the target but struggled with the bat in hand.

Captain Matthew Jones (27) was the first to go on 42-1 but Harry Friend and Henry Breeze both followed shortly after, leaving the Gwent outfit on 43-3.

Monmouth improved with Josh Grey hitting 32 but Lloyd (4-20) and Rhys Mander (3-22) helped bowl them out on 117.

And there are new leaders in Division Three too after Creigiau beat Machen by 10 wickets thanks to Dafydd Taylor (62no) and Callum Bassett-Jones (55no).

Previous leaders Sully Centurions suffered an 82-run defeat to Monkswood, which means Creigiau now lead the table by seven points.
