The man who’s famous for drinking pint at rugby
IF you were watching the Wales v Scotland match on TV at the weekend you won’t have failed to notice the chap in the crowd so enamoured with his pint that he was probably the most famous man in Wales over the weekend.
Well, now we’ve found out who that man is and what has happened since the brilliant clip appeared on the BBC and was subsequently shared all over social media.
His name is Kristian and he lives in Aberdare. The 25-year-old said his phone hasn’t stopped since.
Kristian, who was at the match with his mates from Aberdare, said: “I’ll put (my phone) down and come back to 30-odd notifications. Most of it is stick but I’m finding it funny.”
The Englishman added: “It’s a bit surreal. I’m not keeping track but people are sending pictures and screenshots about the views and retweets. My phone died in the stadium so I didn’t really know the extent and after a few I wasn’t too bothered. The girl in front told us. I laughed and just got on with the night.”
The most important question, though, is what was so delicious about his drink at that point?
Kristian told us: “It was a Strongbow Dark Fruits and it was nice and cold. I can’t think what else it could’ve been!”
We also spoke to Lisa Francis who was sat in front of Kristian belting out the anthem passionately.
“I woke up this morning and my face – well, my tonsils – were everywhere,” said Lisa, 33, from Treorchy.
“A couple of the girls text me asking me to remember them when I’m famous and for my autograph.
“My fiance – who’s English – even told me he was going to take the door frame down because my head wouldn’t fit through there.”
