Busy time for RAF St Athan
NOVEMBER and December tend to be very hectic for most bands, but having seen what RAF St Athan Voluntary Band have been involved in I am sure that their members must be looking forward to the New Year.
Musical director Alan Bourne, says: “We have been involved in 23 Remembrance events across South Wales and one in London.
“We are starting our Christmas engagements on Sunday at Cowbridge Reindeer Parade then 24 gigs later we give the last performance of the year at Llantwit Major on Christmas Eve.
“We will have completed nearly 50 performances in just over two months and I think that’s a record – even for us!”
