Co-op Funeralcar­e Bereavemen­t and Loneliness Group is once a month at Christchur­ch, East Avenue, Gadlys, Aberdare CF44 8AS at 10am.

Colour Wheel. A colourful mixed media exhibition. Open until Christmas Eve. A trio of artists who work in felt, silk cotton, paint and natural materials to produce paintings, prints, textile hangings and pictures and embellishe­d embroidery. A multicolou­red feast for the eyes. All items on display are on sale. A special Christmas present for the person who has everything.

Our gift shop stocks cards, jewelry, books, fancy goods, candles, ceramics, textiles and art. We will be open Tuesday to Saturday all through December plus Sunday, December 23, 10am2pm and Christmas Eve, 10am-2pm.

We have some speciality equipment that we use for our holiday playscheme­s and need somewhere to store it. If a local business or anyone else could help us out with the donation of a plastic outdoor shed we would be very grateful.

New Horizons mental health charity has a centre in Aberdare which is open at the following times:

Mondays, 4pm-8pm – Youth Project;

Tuesdays, 11am-1pm – activities, groups and training;

Wednesdays, 9am-4pm – activities, groups and training. Closed bank holidays. The team provides support and advice, talks activities such as music, art and craft, Wii, and free internet. The lottery numbers were drawn on Friday, November 23. The numbers were 06, 12, 13, 21. The jackpot is now £2,451.

We are looking for people to help us in reception, shop work and driving our clients back and forth from their cancer-related hospital appointmen­ts.

Drivers are urgently needed in the Rhondda area.

We are also looking for volunteers in the role of befriender­s visiting clients at their home one hour per week.

This may be a lifeline for many clients as you may be the only person they see all week.

This is a new project for Rowan Tree Cancer Care.
