Local bands ready to support charitable groups
ALL our local bands are invariably raising money for charitable organisations and Abergavenny Borough Band is an example of what can be achieved for local charities by playing in the town centre over some weeks.
Local charities who have benefitted from the efforts of the members of the Abergavenny Borough Band are Sparkle, Royal British Legion, Gateway Church, Mind Monmouthshire, Magic Cottage, St David’s Hospice, Hospice of the Valleys and Rotary, who will be receiving money from the £3,554 which has been raised.
The Alzheimer’s Society will also be receiving a donation shortly.
The band is amazed at the support from the Abergavenny townsfolk and send a huge thanks to all.
