And, finally... for Sir Trevor
SIR Trevor McDonald is to make his last appearance on News At Ten next month.
The veteran newsreader will stand down after presenting coverage of the US elections, ITV announced yesterday.
But he will remain with ITV1, continuing his work on the Tonight programme, hosting the National Television Awards and working on documentaries.
Sir Trevor, 69, who originally quit as anchorman in 2005 after 32 years at ITN, returned to News At Ten when it was relaunched in January.
He will be replaced by Mark Austin, who will join current copresenter Julie Etchingham.
Sir Trevor said: “I cannot be in the presenter’s chair forever.”
