Anne, 32: I’m losing roles to 24- year- olds

OSCAR- winning actress Anne Hathaway admits that despite being only 32 she is losing parts to “24- year- olds”.

The Les Miserables star said: “I hate to admit it but it’s true. There are fewer roles and the competition is as fierce as ever.

“When I was in my early 20s, parts would be written for women in their 50s and I’d get them.

“And now I’m in my early 30s and I’m like, ‘ Why did that 24- year- old get that part?’ I was that 24- year- old once. I can’t be upset about it. It’s the way things are.”

The US actress, who is on the cover of October’s Glamour magazine, inset, is in comedy The Intern released later this month.
