Age discrimination is alive and well in car insurance
I WRITE in response to Ross Clark’s excellent article (“Why should older drivers face such discrimination?”, September 1).
I am 80 with a good record of driving and maximum no claims for insurance purposes.
When trying to insure our car some companies refused altogether to quote; others loaded premiums.
I finished up paying £ 513. Along with other things mentioned this is discrimination against older people who have been law- abiding all their lives.
