Satnavs on NHS while we can’t get GP appointment

SO wondrous therapies and even satnavs are available on the NHS (“Depressed? Then have a holiday on the NHS”, September 1).

The whole of the NHS therefore cannot be strapped for cash.

So why is it that here we wait 10 days for a GP appointment, 48 weeks for a scan, specialist appointments are remarkably well spaced and a nearby health centre doesn’t even have a GP at present.
