Terror teen plot to behead teachers
A 15- YEAR- OLD dubbed “the terrorist” by classmates faces being jailed today for threatening to behead his teachers and plotting the slaughter of Australian police officers.
The UK- born schoolboy of Bangladeshi descent is being sentenced after he admitted being radicalised online. He cannot be named for legal reasons.
Yesterday Manchester Crown Court heard he orchestrated a plot to kill officers at an Anzac Day parade 12,000 miles away in Melbourne. That was to be carried out by Australianbased fellow Muslim Sevdet Besim, 18.
There were 3,000 encrypted messages between the boy and Besim, with one message reading: “Don’t underestimate decapitation bro, its hard. U gotta be a lion.”
British police alerted Australian authorities who arrested Besim earlier this year. He is awaiting trial for the April 25 plot.
Prosecutor Paul Greaney, QC, said the Briton was committed to Islamic State and “dangerously radicalised” in his bedroom in Blackburn by well- known Islamic State ( Isis) recruiter Abu Khaled al- Cambodi.
Mr Greaney said: “The attack was to promote the ideology of Isis.”
The boy was “a troubled young person” from the age of 12 and “frequently aggressive, abusive and disobedient”.
While at school in 2013 he praised Osama bin Laden

and boasted of his desire to be a “jihadist and a martyr”.
One teacher said classmates nicknamed him “the terrorist” due to his anti- Western tirades.
He threatened to behead teachers and his smart phone contained pictures of Jihadi John atrocities.
In February 2014 he was put on a Governmentsponsored antiradicalisation programme.
Three days later he threatened to stab a teaching assistant.
The boy is due to be sentenced today.
