PERHAPS JEREMY CORBYN IS SINCERE BUT HE’S STILL A DANGER TO THE COUNTRY

-

IF YOU took a clipboard like those blasted pollsters and prowled the land asking for one single adjective that caused people to support Jeremy Corbyn, I suspect the most used epithet would be “sincere”. That is: “He really means it.”

The attraction seems to be the contrast with all the other politicos who appear to be blissfully unaware how despised they are. Well, it’s the constant porky- pies, innit? But let me tell you about “sincere”. Every nutter helped into a padded cell convinced he is Napoleon Bonaparte is absolutely sincere. It just doesn’t make him Napoleon Bonaparte.

Every paranoid schizophrenic who shoves a knife into a harmless stranger is absolutely sincere that the Divinity ordered him to do it by speaking to him inside the privacy of his own head. Except, He didn’t. The communists, who between 1924 and 1954 under Stalin wiped out 40 million human beings and built and ran the biggest chain of concentration camps the world has ever seen, were really sincere about the benefits and eventual inevitable triumph of their creed.

Every Nazi who help slaughter six million Jews and eight million others between 1933 and 1945 sincerely believed in his satanic faith. So Master Corbyn genuinely believes he should recreate the Britain of 1979: massively nationalised, crippled by strikes, heading for bankruptcy, the sick man of Europe.

Until Margaret Thatcher came along and turned the country round, heading it back towards prosperity.

All in all I think I prefer a moderate who fibs a bit.
