Girl, 15, for a thank- you kiss he signed shirts, court told
“Not very good. I was disappointed in myself.”
The girl said: “He said if I kept on going he would have to have sex with me.”
She added: “After it happened I was shocked because I felt like I had done something wrong.
“I think that’s what made it more awkward. It wasn’t that I didn’t want it but it felt like I had done something wrong. I didn’t feel very good. I was disappointed in myself.”
The girl revealed that she had attempted to secretly film their encounter on her phone but it had only captured sound of the player chatting about football.
She said she had kept her phone hidden in her bag because she did not want Johnson to see it and discover she had not deleted their text messages as he told her to.
She told the court: “He said if I kept on going he would have to have sex with us and stuff like that.”
When quizzed by Johnson’s barrister, Orlando Pownall QC about why she had not told police the full truth straight away she said: “I wanted to keep him ( Johnson) out of trouble. I didn’t want to get him in more trouble than he was.
“At the time I didn’t realise it was wrong. I didn’t realise what had gone on was wrong.” She broke down sobbing as she revealed how rumours about her relationship with the winger, capped 12 times by England, began to circulate among school friends on Facebook.
She was due to meet the player again on the evening of February 25 but he failed to show up.
She denied being angry when she arrived home and confessed to her father about the illicit relationship.
The next day her mother insisted they report it to the police.
