Stoned at the school gate

LAST month we had parents being asked not to wear pyjamas when dropping off their children at school. Now staff at a primary school in Greater Manchester have begged parents not to smoke marijuana while they are on the school run. This is a terrible indictment of modern Britain.

Smoking drugs in front of small children is an appalling way to behave. One dreads to think what sort of life these youngsters are being prepared for if watching adults take marijuana is part of their morning routine.

Parents have an obligation to set a good example. Those taking the drugs should be ashamed.

The chances are they have got away with this disgusting behaviour but in a just world they’d be getting a visit from the police.
